Engineers without Borders Denmark (EWB-DK) in collaboration with the Sierra Leone Institution of Engineers (SLIE) are sponsoring the training of two engineering students and an engineer in a three weeks training at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Alfred Mbayoh and Kenneth Abdul Bamba were selected after they showed great commitment and effort to the Water Kiosk project in Grafton organized by Water4Ever. Ing Davephine Tholley, who is to accompany the students during the training, is a representative of the Water4Ever company. The Innovative Pilot Course at DTU which will take place in September, presents challenges or ideas to an interdisciplinary group of students to find innovative solutions. The outcome of the training is expected to develop and enhance the skills of the participants in a plethora of areas which include communication, project planning, customers contact and business understanding to name a few. Both students expressed gratitude and joy at being given the opportunity to develop their skills and capabilities. It is their hope that other students would be given this opportunity if the future.
